Well, another year in the books! 2007 was a great year on many parts, but this year also had many sad parts to it as well. As you all probly know, Sean Taylor (of the Washington Redskins) was gunned down in his home. Pimp C was found dead in his hollywood hotel room. T.I. and many other musicians are getting busted with crimes. Evil Knievel passed away at the age of 69. All of these bad things sadly happened this year, so this post, our second to last post of the year, is in a way, in honor to all of those people out there who have given their lives to their country, or have had an impact on those around them. In times of sadness, we need to turn to these people who risked it all, or changed the way we all live our lives, and remember them and who they were, and what they stood for.

As of right now, I am currently back, and reviews will continue on as my partner and I get back into our regular routines from our week-long hiatus.  ICECrush and I had a nice break from posting, but it is time to get back to business, and even though this post is sort of a sad one and a commemoration post, but as 2007 is coming to a close, ICE & I look forward to a happy and healthy new year for everyone.

Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. otherwise known as T.I. has recently put out his fifth studio album entitled, "T.I. Vs T.I.P." His new album has a much different theme to it. T.I. (a.k.a "The King of The South") has to face his alter ego named T.I.P. This album idea that T.I. went with is interesting, and never really saw this coming from him. T.I.'s most recent release almost went gold within the first week of its release, selling 468,000 copies in the first week (Week Two: "T.I. Vs T.I.P." Went Gold, & Week Nine: "T.I. Vs T.I.P." Went Platinum). On top of that, T.I.'s album was also nominated for a Grammy. I really did enjoy T.I.'s latest release, it is truly a shame that he has been facing charges of owning unlicensed weapons. Overall, "T.I. Vs T.I.P." was an extremely solid album, and I highly suggest it anyone looking for some good music.

The Track Listing:
"Act I: T.I.P."
"Big Sh-- Poppin' (Do It)"
"Raw"
"You Know What It Is (Feat. Wyclef Jean)"
"Da Dopeman"
"Watch What You Say to Me (Feat. Jay-Z)"
"Hurt (Feat. Alfamega & BUsta Rhymes)"
"Act II: T.I."
"Help Is Coming"
"My Swag (Feat. Wyclef Jean)"
"We Do This"
"Show It to Me (Feat. Nelly)"
"Don't Wanna Be High"
"Touchdown (Feat. Eminem)"
"Act III: T.I. vs. T.I.P."
"Tell 'Em I Said That"
"Respect This Hustle"
"My Type"

*If You Made This Art, Please Let Us Know So We Can Give You Credit*

This is the first of many great albums to come from this young rising star.  As some of you have most likely noticed on your iTunes Music Store, her hit song, "Love Song," is now #2 on the most purchased list.  I never really could have written a review for this artist before her first major debut, because her past stuff have been demos and other sorts of music.  I have known about her for awhile, and am truly glad to see how well her current album is doing.  If you think that you are someone who only likes a certain genre, and doesn't want to explore other types of music, then thats alright, but this album right here is very solid.  In my opinion, one of the best Pop albums to come out in a very long time.  Her album was released on July 3rd, 2007, so it is a little strange to all of a sudden see "Love Song" at #2 on the list.  Then again, with her recent part in the Rhapsody T.V. commercial, I can see why many are flocking to by this hit song.  Overall, if I had to grade this on a one to ten scale, "Little Voice" would receive a 9.98 out of 10 in my very humble opinion.  Seriously though, if you really like pop music, want to explore a new type of music, or are just getting old to listening to the same crap over and over again, go out and buy Sarah Bareilles new album which is in stores now!

The Track Listing:
"Love Song"
"Vegas"
"Bottle It Up"
"One Sweet Love"
"Come Round Soon"
"Morningside"
"Between the Lines"
"Love on the Rocks"
"City"
"Many the Miles"
"Fairytale"
"Gravity"

Some of you may be hearing this artists name for the first time, but he has been in the music industry for a long time.  "System" will be Seal's fifth studio album and in my opinion, his best since his debut album.  System brings a much different type of music then what Seal generally sings.  It is more Dance/Pop style, rather than his usual stuff.  I like this switch up, and from what I can tell, the general public likes it too.  His hit song, and first single, off this album is entitled, "Amazing."  The title of this song describes Seal's first single in entirety, it is truly an "amazing" song.  He has been nominated for the "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance" Grammy at the 2007, 50th Annual Grammy Awards.  Seal's album hit store racks on November 13th, 2007, and made it to 35 on the Billboard Top 200.  Overall, Seal's latest release is by far my favorite one.  If you have never heard of Seal, or thought I was talking about an animal, then please check his music out and let us know what you think!

The Track Listing:
"If It's In My Mind, It's On My Face"
"Amazing (Thin White Duke Edit)"
"Just Like Before"
"Loaded"
"Wedding Day (Duet With Heidi Klum)"
"System"
"Dumb"
"The Right Life"
"Rolling"
"Immaculate"
"Amazing"

So guys I'm really sorry for not posting in such a long time my Remix of the Week, and especially that it's supposed to come out on Monday, and it's Wednesday.

So...I'm hitting you up with 2 remixes this week to maybe make up for that and mine and SoSickWitItYo's little hiatus coming up for the holidays.

So anyway, today I'm hitting you with 2 remixes, stemming from the one and only Ne-Yo. These remixes feature the legendary Kanye West in "Because of You" and 2Pac in "So Sick". As you guys probably know, SoSickWitIt and I love Kanye and 2Pac, along with CB and some other doughboy fresh kids, so yeah we like these remixes.

Numero Uno:
"So Sick" feat. 2Pac. This fabulous remix was featured on MTV as Jam of the week a while back. Combines Ne-yo's "So Sick" with 2Pac's "Don't You Trust Me?".

Pros: Ne-yo and 2Pac, what more can you ask for? Sweet video also.
Cons: Very short coming in at 2:05, I wish there was more to the song.

Video:

Numero Dos:
My true fav, "Because of You" feat. KANYE WEST.
Pretty sure that this is official b/c I'm not really sure if the song is a separate Kanye song. If anyone knows anything else about it tell me.

Pros: Ne-Yo and KANYE! Great length. Sicknasty song.
Cons: On my version of the song the sound was a bit off, and the like bass beat is very like tchh, I can't really explain it. Other than that great song.

Video:

Enjoy!

Hip-Hop/Reggae star Wyclef Jean has recently released his sixth studio album entitled, "Carnival Vol. II Memoirs Of An Immigrant."  His newest release is by far my favorite out of all his past releases.  On this album, Wyclef takes his musical abilities to a whole new level, mixing so many different types of music artists from different genres.  Two of my favorite tracks on the album consist of, "Fast Car (Feat. Paul Simon)," and "Any Other Day (Feat. Norah Jones)."  In these two tracks, we see a much different side to Wyclef, and his music productions.  These two songs have a softer and calmer (more of a Folk type of feel to them).  Overall, Wyclef's most recent album release is one of my favorite, and if you are someone who has never heard of Wyclef Jean, you should pick up "Carnival Vol. II Memoirs Of An Immigrant" and give it a listen.

The Track Listing:
"Intro"
"Riot (Trouble Again) (Feat. Serj Tankian & Sizzla)
"Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill) (Feat. Akon, Lil’ Wayne & Niia)"
"Welcome to the East (Feat. Sizzla)"
"Slow Down (Feat. T.I.)"
"King and Queen (Feat. Shakira)
"Fast Car (Feat. Paul Simon)"
"What About The Baby (Feat. Mary J. Blige)"
"Hollywood Meets Bollywood (Immigration) (Feat. Chamillionaire)"
"Any Other Day (Feat. Norah Jones)
"Heaven’s In New York"
"Selena (Feat. Melissa Jimenez)"
"Touch Your Button Carnival Jam (Feat. Will.I.Am, Melissa Jimenez, Machel Montano, Daniela Mercury, Black Alex, Shabba & Djakout Muzik)"
"Outro"
"On Tour (Bonus Track) (Feat. Lucina)
"China Wine (Bonus Track) (Feat. Sun, Elephant Man & Tony Matterhorn)"
"Sweetest Girl (Dolla Bill) (Remix) (Feat. Akon, Lil' Wayne, & Raekwon)"

BONUS VIDEOS:
Akon & Wyclef may joke about producing music together, but the two of them together could produce some crazy stuff that in my opinion, could be tight.  Who knows if they were joking?  They most likely were, but those two working together on a production would be amazing!

As we prepare for up-and-coming new releases from many music artists, we decided to give you a little blast from the past on one specific artist.  Lupe Fiasco hit the scene with a bang on September 19th, 2006, when his debut album, "Food & Liquor" went to rank #8 on the Billboard 200.  As many of you have already figured out, Lupe's music and lyrical style is far better than some of the current artists out there in the industry today.  His debut release ended up being nominated for "Best Rap Album" at the 2007 Grammy Awards.  Now not to take anything away from the great Lupe, but without certain people in the Hip-Hop industry, I do not know how popular he would have been today.  Some people who had taken a major part in making Lupe's career are respected names in the music industry, like Kanye West, Jay-Z, Three-6-Mafia, Pharrell Williams, and many more.  If you have never heard of Lupe Fiasco, then I highly suggest you pick up a copy of his debut album and give it a listen.  I really enjoyed this one, and I cannot wait for his upcoming 2007 release entitled, "The Cool."

The Track List:
"Intro"
"Real (Feat. Sarah Green)"
"Just Might Be OK (Feat. Gemini)"
"Kick, Push"
"I Gotcha (Feat. Pharrell Williams)"
"The Instrumental (Feat. Jonah Matranga)
"He Say She Say (Feat. Gemini & Sarah Green)"
"Sunshine"
"Daydreamin' (Feat. Jill Scott)"
"The Cool"
"Hurt Me Soul"
"Pressure (Feat. Jay-Z)"
"American Terrorist (Feat. Matthew Santos)
"The Emperor's Soundtrack"
"Kick, Push II"
"Outro"

This will be the first blog update that we have.  It really is not much of an update, but more of just some news.  As we said on our past blog, we will be taking about a weeks hiatus.  I personally will not be updating the blog from December 21st, to January 2nd.  This being said, I am not ruling out that I may be able to post a few reviews here and there, but do not expect a whole lot of stuff in that time period.  Some reviews that we will be getting out before our hiatus.

Reviews Before Hiatus:
  • Alicia Keys: As I Am
  • Sara Bareilles: Little Voices
  • Wyclef Jean: Carnival Vol. II Memoirs Of An Immigrant
  • Seal: System
  • T.I: T.I. vs T.I.P.
If you want us to review something, either drop us a line on our chat box, or hit us up on our email.  We hope V2 will function better and more organized then our first version.

We wish everyone a happy holidays and a healthy and happy new year!

Jack Johnson is getting ready to release a brand new album with a whole new look to it.  On February 5th, 2008, "Sleep Through The Static" will be released.  As I reported before, the album is much different then his past studio releases.  This album will feature him in some songs playing an electric guitar instead of his acoustic guitar (which in all his past albums, was the only guitar he used).  Also, this album will be the first that is not recorded in his home-country of Hawaii.  As of right now, the present track listing shows fourteen songs (not including bonus tracks).  Make sure to keep coming back for more information on Jack Johnson's up and coming February 2008 release, "Sleep Through The Static."

Track Listing For "Sleep Through The Static" (As of Right Now):
"All At Once"
"Sleep Through the Static"
"Hope"
"Angel"
"Enemy"
"If I Had Eyes" (SINGLE ALREADY RELEASED)
"Same Girl"
"What You Thought You Needed"
"Adrift"
"Go On"

Robert Craig, known as Evil Knievel, passed away today, November 30, 2007. He began his high flying acts back in 1965, and was an instant hit among Americans and others around the world. His death defying stunts drew crowds from all over the world. Two days before he had passed (at age 69), Craig and Kanye West had settled the dispute which was carried out in a court of law over the rights to use Knievel's image in Kanye West's ever so popular, "Touch The Sky" music video. Robert Craig brought happiness and has left his mark on the world forever.

Everyone east of the Hudson river will find this sacrilegious, but that's okay. That's New Jersey, for anyone who didn't know.

Livin' On a Prayer was origonally played by Bon Jovi during the '80s, and is considered one of the hugest songs from that decade. Jordan James has come along and remixed the rock ballad into awesome techno. I heard this song in the beginning of the summer, and I couldn't stop listening, raving, rocking out, and enjoying this song.

Plus, its on iTunes!

Alternative Album Artwork

Well finally, Mario's newest album entitled, "Go!" has been released. As many of you know, the date for the release has changed more times then Michael Jackson's skin color. Here is the low down on all the release dates that were changed for some reason or another.

- Original Release Date: November 28, 2006 (Original Album Name: Effortless, Artist Name: Mario Barrett [First Time He Would Use His Full Name As The Artist])
- The Album Release Date Was Then Pushed To April 4, 2007
- Since April Showers Bring May Flowers, The Date Was Yet Again Changed, This Time To May 8, 2007
- Well, The Flowers Did Not Look To Pretty, So Another Album Release Date Had To Be Decided Upon, This One Was July 31, 2007
- They Already Got Through The First Seven Months Of The Year, So You Have To Figure The Final Release Date Is Coming Around The Corner...The New Release Date Was Set For August 21, 2007
- Well Now Consumers Have To Be A Bit Worried...The Release Date Has Changed Six Times Already, What Is Next? October 9, 2007, Thats What Is Next...
- Hey, The Seventh Try Is Always The Charm! (Well In This Case, It Actually Was!!!) November 27. 2007 Mario - Go! Released. The Album Ironically Took A Year To Final Hit Store Racks Around The World.

Although it took Mario and J Records close to a year to release the album, it was for sure worth the wait. This album has some fantastic songs on it, and if you are one of the lucky ones and are able to get your hands on some of the unreleased material off this album, you can attest for yourself how good this album is! Mario did a fantastic job on this album (even though it took a year for it to come out). You may wonder how I know how good his album really is, well if you look hard enough on the web, you will be able to find audio tracks and listen to songs off his album (especially because it was supposed to be out a year ago). All in all, Mario's latest upcoming release is pretty much off the hook. If you ever get a chance to surf the web to give it a listen before the album's final release date on November 27th, I would highly suggest it. I don't know how much this stacks up against Chris Brow's "Exclusive" but this album will be up there on one of my top R&B albums. Check out "Go!" on November 27th, 2007.

The Track Listing:
"Go (Produced by The Neptunes)" (9.5 out of 10)
"Crying Out For Me (Produced by Polow Da Don)" (9.69 out of 10)
"Skippin' (Produced by Mad Scientist)" (8.9 out of 10)
"Music For Love (Produced by Mad Scientist)" (8 out of 10)
"Kryptonite (Feat. Rich Boy) (Produced by Warren "Oak" Felder)" (9 out of 10)
"How Do I Breathe (Produced by Stargate)" (9.4 out of 10)
"No Definition (Produced by Timbaland)" (9.89 out of 10)

"Kryptonite (Official Remix) (Feat. Eve) (Produced By Oak)" (9 out of 10)
"What Is It Gonna Be" (9.63 out of 10)
"Ghetto Love" (9.1 out of 10)

This week's remix of the week is a mashup of Letter 2 My Unborn by 2Pac and the hit single Paralyzer by Finger Eleven. Here is a short description from the author:

"Seeing as the song "Paralyzer" is growing rapidly in popularity, I thought I'd post a mash-up I made of the song by Finger Eleven and a 2Pac song called "Letter 2 My Unborn." I am particularly proud of this mix. I even included it in my college application. I hope you enjoy it.

Tell me what you think! If you like it, spread it.

-Sam"

"Letter To My Unborn" was a single off of 2Pac's third posthumous album titled, Until the End of Time released in 2001 by executive producers Suge Knight and Afeni Shakur. The album went 5x platinum.

The hit single, "Paralyzer" was the first single on Canadian alternative rock band, Finger Eleven's, 5th studio album titled, Them vs. You vs. Me, and was released in March 2007.

This fresh mashup captures the true beauty of 2Pac's rhymes and passion with the alternative rock rhythms of Finger Eleven. This mashup is a 10/10 in my book, and congratulations to the one and the only Sam Breslin for the mix.

Today is a truly sad day. Kanye West's mom passed away this morning in a Los Angeles hospital. Today is Veteran's day, and I doubt that it is a coincidence. Kanye is a Veteran (not of a war) in my eyes and his mom should be cast in that same light. It is not confirmed exactly when/how she died, but but the sudden loss is devastating. Dr. Donda West and her son Kanye were extremely close, and this will really hit Kanye hard. She was 58.

On Kanye's Sophomore Album "Late Registration" from 2005, he wrote a song for his mother titled Hey Mama. The Song goes: "(Hey Mama), I wanna scream so loud for you, cuz I'm so proud of you / Let me tell you what I'm about to do, (Hey Mama) / I know I act a fool but, I promise you I'm goin back to school /I appreciate what you allowed for me
I just want you to be proud of me (Hey Mama)".

This song really shows his love for his mom, and to show it he performed the song in front of his mom, live on Oprah. I cannot even begin to feel this loss for his. I would not be surprised if he releases a follow up tribute song soon, and I am sure that it will be breathtaking.

Once again, Kanye I send my love to you and your family. Dr. Donda West, may you Rest in Peace.

Update:
According to MTV.com: "According to multiple sources, West was in Los Angeles and her death may have been the result of complications from a surgical procedure; more specific information was unavailable at press time."

As you all have known, Jay-Z made his comeback last year with the album, "Kingdom Come." His 2006 return release was not accepted by many of his fans. I personally really did enjoy the album, it had some excellent songs, but after those songs, the rest were all but mediocre. His 2007 release was based off the movie, "American Gangster," which featured Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington. If you are an avid Jay-Z fan, and know about his past, you would know that while he has growing up on the streets, he had similar involvements that took place in the movie. I think that this could be as to why he wanted to base an album off of the movie. It is a fantastic movie, and I really loved it. Jay-Z's newest release, which was based off that movie, is a big turn around from his "Kingdom Come" release. If you haven't given Jay-Z's latest release a listen, you are missing out! In my opinion, this is right up there with "The Black Album," and "Reasonable Doubt." Check out Jay-Z's 2007 release, "American Gangster."

Track Listing:
"Intro" (N/A out of N/A)
"Pray" (8.7 out of 10)
"American Dreamin'" (8.6 out of 10)
"Hello Brooklyn 2.0 (Feat. Lil' Wayne)" (8.9 out of 10)
"No Hook" (8.5 out of 10)
"Roc Boys (And The Winner Is)..." (9.4 out of 10)
"Sweet" (8.97 out of 10)
"I Know (Feat. Pharrell)" (8.88 out of 10)
"Party Life" (8.2 out of 10)
"Ignorant Sh*t (Feat. Beanie Sigal)" (9 out of 10)
"Say Hello" (8 out of 10)
"Success (Feat. Nas)" (7.93 out of 10)
"Fallin'" (9.45 out of 10)
"Blue Magic (Feat. Pharrell)" (9.7 out of 10)
"American Gangster" (9.3 out of 10)

Rappers, Actors, Actresses, Pro Atheletes: What do they have in common? Many of them have been to jail or arrested at least once in their life. Just because they are living in the limelight, and seriously can do almost anything they want, they can't do everything. Laws are laws, and they are there for a reason. Superstars do not trump the legal system, I'm sorry. Take the above picture for example. Paris Hilton did not want to go to court, she wanted to talk to the court on the phone. I mean what is that, who says that she can choose what laws she wants to follow and how she will be punished. Yeah, that's what I thought.

First off we have the one and the only Rubba Band Man himself, T.I. Recently arrested on charges for trying to buy machine guns and silencers. I mean I know that these guys want to look cool buying machine guns, but seriously I mean it's against the law, and who knows when/if they're ever going to need the guns. For protection? They have a lot of bodyguards so I don't think they have any problems.

The newest rappers getting a dose of their own medicine will be Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, Lil' Wayne and Remy Ma. Busta Rhymes is convicted with assault and drunk driving charges, Ja Rule with weapons charges, Lil' Wayne with illegal gun possession, and Remy Ma with assault and witness tampering.

Seriously these guys/girls (Remy) are not thugz anymore, and need to live up to the hype that they're given. They are role models for kids and to be acting in these ways assaulting people, driving drunk, and buying/carrying machine and handguns is unacceptable. I think that the whole rap industry needs to take an education class on proper behavior, and that the record labels should keep a better watch on their artists. These rappers and other stars are gonna land themselves in jail for the rest of their lives or get themselves killed like 2Pac and Biggie, let them rest in peace.

Chris Brown - Exclusive: Alternative Album Artwork

Well, as I am sure most of you have been waiting for, it is finally here! I have listened to Chris Brown's latest release, "Exclusive" many times and so far, I have really enjoyed it. As of right now, his newest release is #2 on my all time favorite R&B albums. His sophomore album is really some of his finest work and really is done professionally. I personally loved his first album which was self entitled, "Chris Brown." His newest release features some big names on it, which only adds to how good this album really is! The thing about him putting on some big name singers to sing some songs with him is that he made the right calls on who should sing what. Big Boi and Kanye West ("Exclusive" was originally supposed to be entitled, "Graduation," but due to Kanye coming out with his most recent album entitled in that name, CB decided to re-name his to "Exclusive.") fit perfectly in the type of songs that they are singing, unlike 50 Cents most recent album release entitled, "Curtis." Curtis features many various artists and don't get me wrong, I did like the album, but in my opinion, Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) tried way to hard to get big names on his album and he really did not take into account who would fit better on which songs.

Overall, in my opinion, Chris Brown has legitimately taken over the lime light in the R&B genre. I'm not saying that Alicia Keys and other artists in the R&B movement have not come close or even can compete with Chris Brown, I am merely saying that as of right now, Chris has solidified himself among the elite. From his lyrics to the beat on each song, I thoroughly enjoyed CB's newest release. Please leave some comments on what you guys thought about Chris Brown's latest release entitled, "Exclusive."

The Track Listing:
"Throwed" (9.3 out of 10)
"Kiss Kiss (Feat. T-Pain)" (9.3 out of 10)
"Take You Down" (9.2 out of 10)
"With You" (8.8 out of 10)
"Picture Perfect (Feat. Will.I.Am)" (8.9 out of 10)
"Hold Up" (Feat. Big Boi)" (9 out of 10)
"You" (8.95 out of 10)
"Damage" (8.75 out of 10)
"Wall To Wall" (9.3 out of 10)
"Help Me" (9 out of 10)
"I Wanna Be" (9.12 out of 10)
"Gimme Whatcha Got (Feat. Lil' Wayne)" (8.92 out of 10)
"I'll Call Ya" (8.76 out of 10)
"Lottery" (8.4 out of 10)
"Nice (Feat. The Game) (Bonus Track)" (9.46 out of 10)
"Down (Feat. Kanye West) (Bonus Track)" (9.58 out of 10)
"Get At Ya (Bonus Track) (Prod. by Underdogs)" (8.8 out of 10)
"Mama (Bonus Track) (Prod. by Eric Hudson)" (9.5 out of 10)
"Fallen Angel (UK Bonus Track)" (9.57 out of 10)

This weeks Unknown Artist of the Week is Amos Lee. He has been on the music scene for a little bit and has really made a splash in the business. Some of you most likely have never even heard of this guy so let me tell you a bit more about him. He is a folk singer, and his songs always have a nice mellow, smooth, and soothing sound that can over take anyone in a bad mood, and instantly calm them down. He has been known for not only going on tour by himself, but on numerous occasions he has played with one of the best folk singers of all time. This past year, Amos Lee toured with Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello, and from what I heard, it was a great concert. He has also been known to play with artists: Phil Collins, Van Morrison, Norah Jones, and many others. Amos Lee possess the ability to follow in the footsteps of the great Bob Dylan, in the sense that each write fantastic lyrics. The main difference between the two of them is that Amos Lee has a very nice and appeasing voice, while Bob Dylan has a very raspy and loud voice. I personally am one who enjoys both, others may prefer one over the other. No matter what you prefer, I highly suggest you give Mr. Lee a listen. He currently has two albums out entitled, "Amos Lee" & "Supply and Demand." As I had said in other posts on this blog, not everything here is R&B, Rap, Hip-Hop, and Raggae based. We do listen to many different genre's and these Unknown Artists of the Week are people we believe do have talent and just aren't really big yet. If you give Amos Lee a listen, let us know, we would love to hear what you think about his works!

This week's remix of the week is Apologize (Remix) By One Republic Feat. Lil' Wayne, Joe, and Bun B. First of all I love the original song by One Republic that Timbaland produced and put on his album. In this remix, the original song is incorporated by speeding it up so that it sounds so sick wit it, and then they add in the sick rhymes of Lil' Wayne, Joe (whoever that is), and Bun B. Overall a great remix and I am addicted to it.

So here you go: some videos, and the download of the remix. Enjoy!

I am sure some of you have seen the recent commercials for the upcoming movie called American Gangster, which is featuring Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe, two extremely good actors. So since I thought this movie was just going to be flat out sick, I decided that I would listen to the soundtrack before seeing the movie...It is a pretty solid sountrack. I have heard most of the songs that are on it, and I have also been able to listen to the soundtrack in its entirety thanks to songs that were posted on the internet (not downloadable songs, but .mp3's that would play on the interent.) Overall it is a very solid soundtrack and look I am personally looking forward to seeing the movie. Below is a quick plot outline provided by www.imdb.com on American Gangster.

Review:
In 1970s America, a detective works to bring down the drug empire of Frank Lucas, a heroin kingpin from Manhattan, who is smuggling the drug into the country in the coffins of soldiers returning from the Vietnam War.

Actors:
Denzel Washington - Frank Lucas
Russell Crowe - Richie Roberts
Chiwetel Ejiofor - Huey Lucas
Josh Brolin - Detective Trupo
Lymari Nadal - Eva
Ted Levine - Lou Toback
Roger Guenveur Smith - Nate
John Hawkes - Freddie Spearman
RZA - Moses Jones
Yul Vazquez - Alphonse Abruzzo
Malcolm Goodwin - Jimmy Zee
Ruby Dee - Mama Lucas
Ruben Santiago-Hudson - Doc

Pretty Solid Soundtrack, I Can't Wait To See The Movie, And I Am Sure It Is Going To Be Great! If You Have Seen The Movie, Please Leave Comments!!! Thanks!

It has been nine years since Westlife hit the music scene back in 98'. Since 1998, they have put out nine albums all of which have done well in sales and response from the fans. Back Home will be there second album in the past two years (The Love Album 2006). They are currently under contract with SonyBMG and I think SonyBMG has done a good job since signing them. The album itself is pretty solid, here and there are some stuff that I don't really love, but overall, it is a very solid album. Each song, whether I liked it or not, had a lot of flow and was very soothing to the ears. There is one thing that I can tell you for sure though, the new album that is out for Westlife is much better than the ever so popular Back Street Boys newest release entitled, "Unbreakable." Overall, I do think that this is a pretty solid album, maybe not one of their strongest albums, but it is still very good and anyone into the whole Pop or R&B scene should give it a listen.

Track Listing:
"Home"
"Us Against The World"
"Something Right"
"I'm Already There"
"When I'm With You"
"Have You Ever"
"It's You"
"Catch My Breath"
"The Easy Way"
"I Do"
"Pictures In My Head"
"You Must Have Had A Broken Heart"

Here is a mixtape that was released by Green Flag. It is entitled, "American Gangster," and is a very solid mixtape. It features excerpts from the upcoming movie and also has some pretty sick remixes and song mashes. Green Flag did an amazing job with this mixtape, and in my opinion, it is great! I am working on getting in contact with Green Flag to see if it is ok with him to post a link to his mixtape on this post. If I can't, well then you can check out his MySpace and listen to some snippets and songs off of all his mixtapes.

The Track Listing:

On the same day that Neil Young's newest released album came out, Carrie Underwood released her sophomore album entitled, "Carnival Ride." As I said in the other review I wrote for her first album, I really enjoy her country music, even though I strongly dislike country music in general. I really do not know what it is about her music, but it is really catchy and a good listen. So far, all the reviews for th album have come back very positive and it would seem that her album was well received by the public. I highly suggest giving her newest release a listen, and if you enjoy it as much as I did, go out and buy it!

The Track Listing:
"Flat On The Floor" (8.7 out of 10)
"All-American Girl" (9 out of 10)
"So Small" (8.9 out of 10)
"Just A Dream" (9 out of 10)
"Get Out Of This Town" (9.3 out of 10)
"Crazy Dreams" (8.9 out of 10)
"I Know You Won't" (8.8 out of 10)
"Last Name" (8.6 out of 10)
"You Won't Find This" (8.6 out of 10)
"I Told You So" (8.5 out of 10)
"The More Boys I Meet" (8.7 out of 10)
"Twisted" (8.8 out of 10)
"Wheel Of The World" (9 out of 10)

Four days ago, Neil Young came out with a brand new album entitled, "Chrome Dreams II." There is a ton of interesting stuff that you probably do not know about this album. Neil Young, back in 1977 was set to release an album entitled, "Chrome Dreams," which would eventually get shelved by Neil Young himself close to its release date. The reason for this shelving? Neil decided that he did not like the sound of the album and wanted to re-work some of the material on it. "Chrome Dreams II" is pretty much the sequel to the original unreleased 1977 album "Chrome Dreams." Some of the material on the disc are tracks from his original unreleased album, but most of the other tracks are either re-recorded or taken out completely and replaced with new songs. The first three songs on the album are all from the 80's, and some were never released. All in all, I really enjoyed listening to his newest album, and I highly suggest giving it a listen and if you like it, buy it!!!

The Track Listing:
"Beautiful Bluebird" (8.9 out of 10)
"Boxcar" (9 out of 10)
"Ordinary People" (9.6 out of 10)
"Shining Light" (8.7 out of 10)
"The Believer" (8.5 out of 10)
"Spirit Road" (8.3 out of 10)
"Dirty Old Man" (8.4 out of 10)
"Ever After" (8.8 out of 10)
"No Hidden Path" (8.9 out of 10)
"The Way" (8.7 out of 10)

Does the name Bun B sound familiar? Probably not (or at least for some of you...), Bun B is best known as part of the two man Hip-Hop/Rap band named UGK. Bun B and his partner Pimp C broke out on the scene in 92' putting out their first album on a audio cassette tape. Jive Records was interested in their works, and ended up signing them for a five album production contract. The two recording artists stayed together from 92' until 01', and sadly were forced to part ways in January of 02'. The reason being you might ask? Well, Pimp C had been incarcerated for gun assault and was in jail for a certain period of time. Both Bun B and Pimp C agreed they would each need to go off on their own ways and try to do what they do best as solo artists. Bun B went off on his solo career, and really is the only reason why UGK is here today. Bun B kept the UGK spirit alive while Pimp C was in jail, and three years later, Pimp C is out of jail, and the two have began to record together again. UGK's most recent album is entitled: "UGK (Underground Kingz)", and Bun B had released his debut album entitled "Trilla" on 2005. He is now set on creating "2 Trilla," which will be released in 2008.

This weeks Remix of the Week is the infamous song Umbrella by Rihanna, covered by none other than the Plain White T's. For those of you that don't know much about the band, here is some info. Plain White T's is a pop-punk/pop rock band from Villa Park, Illinois. They currently have 4 studio albums: Come on Over (2001), Stop (2002), All That We Needed (2005) and Every Second Counts (2006), as well as their EP: Hey There Delilah (2006). Their best known song is Hey There Delilah which was released in 2005 on All That We Needed and re-released on Every Second Counts, but for some reason took over two years for it to become a hit. Now you can hear the song all over the radio.

Umbrella is the first single on Rihanna's third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad, and features the one and the only Jay-Z. The song was written by Terius "The Dream" Nash, and there have been rumors that the song was offered to Britney Spears and Mary J. Blige before actually being recorded by Rihanna. But who cares, its a solid song. But enough about the originals, onto the remixxx.

This is a great remix. The acoustic guitar meshing with the vocals of the Plain White T's is just great. I really enjoy listening to acoustic covers on YouTube and Unplugged versions of songs because you really get to feel the song more at its roots. Otherwise you just hear synthesized sounds, that make the song sound cheesy. The MUSIC is where its at, sounds out of an instrument, not out of a computer. These are somewhat official remixes so I am sorry but I cannot post the download. I can however post the music video. I also found another remix of the song called Cinderella featuring Chris Brown which is great because I love Chris Brown and his voice really compliments the song. He also adds in some other words to the song which are cool too.

Enjoy!!!

Well, as I reported earlier, Chris Brown was allowing his fans to choose the album artwork for his upcoming album entitled, "Exclusive." The artwork above was one of the options, and from what I know is now the official album artwork for "Exclusive." I personally liked the other one, it had more of a street look to it, and it was just much more appeasing to the eye. This one is all right I guess, I mean the fans did get to vote on it, so clearly there are enough people who want to see this as the album cover. Here is how the voting played out against the first too albums. The colourful one had lost to the Gold and White cover, and from what I understand, the album artwork above beat out the Gold and White cover. He has a new poll out about the third album cover and here are the results from that one. With an overwhelming 2,325 votes so far (77%), fans said that they loved the album artwork above. 5% of the people who voted stated that they were just not feeling it, and 18% it is alright, but they don't really love it. Whatever the album artwork may be, (I really do think that the album artwork above is the official one for the album, it is shown on Amazon, so I am almost positive!), I am exepcting a great album to come out. From his first three singles, I really can't imagine a big let down album coming from him! Check back here November 6th, 2007 for the Chris Brown, "Exclusive" Review!

June 25th, 1996, a legend begins by the name of Jay-Z. The New York rapper debuted his first album entitled, "Reasonable Doubt," and was produced by Roc-A-Fella Records. Little do many people know, but Roc-A-Fella records was started by Jay-Z because when he tried to sign with other recording label companies, they either refused or did not even give him a chance. Because of this, Jay-Z created his very own recording label company. He released his debut album in 1996, a time where Biggie was still alive and well. In case you did not know, The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z were close friends and Biggie had actually appeared on one some of the tracks in Jay-Z's 96' release. In my opinion, "Reasonable Doubt," is Jay-Z's best album. All the albums that will follow his 96' release are very different. So you may ask, why the heck am I reviewing an album from 1996? Well, in case you do not know, Jay-Z is coming out with an album on November 6, 2007, so I figured that leading up to his November 6th release, I would write reviews on his previous albums. In my opinion, if you are a big Jay-Z fan, but you don't really know his early releases, I suggest that you go out, either buy or give the G.O.A.T.'s first album a listen. This way, you will probably get a better sense of Jay-Z's style of music!

The Track Listing:
"Can't Knock The Hustle" (8.7 out of 10)
"Politics As Usual" (8.8 out of 10)
"Brooklyn's Finest (Feat. The Notorious B.I.G.)" (9.4 out of 10)
"Dead Presidents II" (8.5 out of 10)
"Feelin' It (Feat. Mecca)" (8.6 out of 10)
"D'evils" (8.5 out of 10)
"22 Two's" (8.7 out of 10)
"Can I Live" (8.8 out of 10)
"Ain't No N**** (Feat. Foxy Brown)" (8.9 out of 10)
"Friend or Foe" (8.8 out of 10)
"Coming of Age (Feat. Memphis Bleek)" (8.9 out of 10)
"Cashmere Thoughts" (9 out of 10)
"Bring It On (Feat. Big Jaz & Sauce Money)" (8.9 out of 10)
"Regrets" (9.1 out of 10)
"Can I Live II (International Bonus Track) (Feat. Memphis Bleek)" (8.8 out of 10)
"Can't Knock the Hustle (International Bonus Track) (Fool's Paradise Remix)"

Carrie Underwood is in my opinion, the only artist to come off of American Idol, and have an actual shot at producing very solid albums for a long time. Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, and many others from the show are very talented, no doubts, but in my opinion are not strong enough singers to ever have an extremely successful illustrious music career. Carrie Underwood is already set to release her second album entitled, "Carnival Ride." Since her new release will be coming out soon, I figured I would write a review on her debut album which was released in 2005. The 2005 release was entitled, "Some Hearts," and in my opinion was a fantastic album. I am not much of a country music guy, but I decided to give her first album a try, and after listening to it for like a couple days, I realized I actually enjoyed it! If you are someone who thinks you will not like a Carrie Underwood album because you hate country, be open to this American Idol phenom, and her past and upcoming album.

The Track Listing:
"Wasted"
"Don't Forget To Remember Me"
"Some Hearts"
"Jesus, Take The Wheel"
"The Night Before (Life Goes On)"
"Lessons Learned"
"Before He Cheats"
"Starts With Goodbye"
"I Just Can't Live A Lie"
"We're Young And Beautiful"
"Whenever You Remember"
"I Ain't In Checotah Anymore"
"Inside Your Heaven (North American Bonus Track)"

Carrie's new album will be released on October 23, 2007. Be sure to check that out and to check out her debut album release.

Well, this will be the first Unknown Artist of the Week that does not fall under the genre of Hip-Hop/Rap. This weeks artist goes by the name of Tally Hall. In 2002, Tally Hall was created in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They currently have one album entitled, "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum," (which is an actual mechanical museum located in Farmington Hills, Michigan) and was released under QUACK!Media Records in November of 2005. Since then, Tally Hall has signed with Atlantic Records, and is already planning for their second studio album.

As it says above, this is Tally Hall's first studio album. It was released in 2005 by QUACK!Media. Overall this is one of my favorite bands ever, and I thought I would share with all you guys my "Secret Band." Here are my ratings and Track Listing for "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum (MMMM).

The Track Listing:
"Good Day" (9.6 out of 10)

Showin' the love to Canadians and all people trapped in closets:

This magnificant mashup combines the redonkulousness of getting R. Kelly, TI, and T-Pain talking about thier game with the pride of indie rock. It does take out the vocals of Leslie Feist (1234 anyone?) for which the indie crowd pride it on, but the replacement of the R&B superstar definitely makes up for it.

Make sure to check out the individual songs of "I'm a Flirt" by Bow Wow (yes, it kinda was his song first, and I cried a little inside) ft. R. Kelly, the one by R. Kelly that we all know and love, and 7/4 (Shoreline) by Broken Social Scene.

Here is some news about Jack Johnson that I thought you should all know about! As of right now, Jack Johnson plans to release a new album in February of 2008. It will be his 5th solo album released in his illustrious music career. The album will be entitled, "Sleeping Through The Static." Unlike all his past albums, he will not be recording his 2008 release in Hawaii, but instead in L.A.'s Solar Powered Plastic Plant. I am guessing the change in recording location will not effect his style of music, but it may, we won't know until singles start to be produced. I am pretty sure we will see the same Jack Johnson that we have in the past, mellow, accoustic, pop rock we are used to seeing from him. Thats all the news we have as of right now, check back here, and if any news surfaces, we will post it.

Timbaland's second solo album had made its debut on April 3, 2007. The interesting part of this album is that there is online one track on it in which Timbaland is singing by himself. Every other songs on the album features someone, whether it is a big name music artist or not. I have no idea why he decided to do that, I mean, it is a pretty solid album for only his second solo album. Some of the big name music artists featured on this album are: Tony Yayo, 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Dr. Dre, Missy Elliot, Nicole Scherzinger, Fall Out Boy, The Hives, and Elton John. Overall, a pretty decent album coming from Timbaland, it isn't the best album I have heard, but it is still worth a listen!

The Track Listing:
"Oh Timbaland" (8.2 out of 10)
"Give It Up (Feat. Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake) (8 out of 10)
"Release (Feat. Justin Timberlake)" (8.3 out of 10)
"The Why I Are (Feat. Keri Hilson & D.O.E)" (8.7 out of 10)
"Bounce (Feat. Dr. Dre, Missy Elliot, & Justin Timberlake)" (8.2 out of 10)
"Come & Get Me (Feat. 50 Cent & Tony Yayo) (8.7 out of 10)
"Kill Yourself (Feat. Sebastian & Attitude) (8.6 out of 10)
"Board Meeting (Feat. Magoo)" (8.5 out of 10)
"Fantasy (Feat. Money) (8.3 out of 10)
"Scream (Feat. Keri Hilson & Nicole Scherzinger)" (8.7 out of 10)
"Miscommunication (Feat. Keri Hilson & Sebastian)" (8.4 out of 10)
"Bombay (Feat. Amar & Jim Beanz)" (8.2 out of 10)
"Throw It On Me (Feat. The Hives)" (8.5 out of 10)
"Time (Feat. She Wants Revenge)" (8.4 out of 10)
"One & Only (Feat. Fallout Boy)" (8.6 out of 10)
"Apologize (Feat. One Republic)" (8.8 out of 10)
"2 Man Show (Feat. Elton John)" (8.7 out of 10)
"Hello (International Bonus Track) (Feat. Keri Hilson & Attitude)"
"Come Around (UK And Japan Bonus Track) (Feat. M.I.A.)

Scandal?
So I was browsing YouTube, looking for some Timbaland music videos, and low and behold, there is a video someone made that claims Timbalanda stole snippets of a song from an unsigned artist. He used this snippet in a Nelly Furtado Song and one other one. What do you guys think? Did Timbaland actually steal an unsigned music artists track, or do you think that the person who made the video set it up like that?

On October 2nd, 2007, Bruce Springsteen's 15 album was released, entitled, "Magic." His previous releases were decent, I personally liked the "We Shall Overcome: Seeger Sessions" album, which was released in 2006. In 2005, Bruce released his 13th album entitled "Devil's and Dust." I thought that the release in 2005 was terrible and I was extremely disappointed about the album.

"Magic" has actually exceeded my expectations, and I really enjoy listening to it. Listening to it is like listening to the old Springsteen albums. "Magic" has that "Born To Run" sound to it and really is a great listen. The E Street Band teamed up with Springsteen to make, in my opinion, one of his better albums! I highly suggest giving his new album a listen and if you like it, go out and buy it.

The Track Listing:
“Radio Nowhere” (9.5 out of 10)
“You’ll Be Comin’ Down”(9 out of 10)
“Livin’ in the Future” (9.1 out of 10)
“Your Own Worst Enemy” (8.7 out of 10)
“Gypsy Biker” (8.5 out of 10)
“Girls in Their Summer Clothes" (8.8 out of 10)
“I’ll Work for Your Love” (8.9 out of 10)
“Magic” (9 out of 10)
“Last to Die” (8.7 out of 10)
“Long Walk Home” (8.6 out of 10)
“Devil’s Arcade” (8.4 out of 10)
"Terry's Song (Hidden Track)" (8.7 out of 10)

Well, this is not a new Kevin Michael album review, but here is some alternative album artwork to his self entitled debut album, "Kevin Michael." In my opinion, I think the other one looks way cooler than this one. Check out the review I did a little while back and check the album artwork that is posted there. As i said in my review, his album is very solid, and you should definitely check it out.

One of my personal favorite albums to come out this year was "Finding Forever," by Common. His previous album, entitled "Be," was also a very good album. Now most of you probably think that the name for his 2007 release is kind of interesting, but you can't figure out why someone would name an album such a weird title. Well here is your answer! Common has stated that the reason he had named his album "Finding Forever," was that he thought that in music, you can find a place where you will be forever. He pointed out artists who did find that "forever" spot in music. He also stated that music is a way of being remembered and leaving your mark and that he is striving to find his forever. Overall, I really enjoyed listening to this album, and Common's new album is for sure a buy in my opinion. Check out his album and tell me what you guys think!

The Track Listing:
"Intro" (N/A out of N/A)
"Start Show (Feat. Kanye West)" (8.7 out of 10)
"The People (Feat. Dwele)" (8.9 out of 10)
"Drivin' Me Wild (Feat. Lily Allen)" (9 out of 10)
"I Want You (Feat. Will.I.Am)" (8.6 out of 10)
"Southside (Feat. Kanye West)" (9.1 out of 10)
"The Game (Feat. DJ Premier)" (8.7 out of 10)
"Black Maybe (Feat. Bilal)" (8.8 out of 10)
"So Far To Go (Feat. D'angelo)" (8.5 out of 10)

Last night one of my friends went to the Maroon 5 concert at MSG, and today when I talked to her she went CRAZY! Last night, Kanye made a special appearance at the concert to sing "Heard 'Em Say", straight off of Late Registration featuring Adam Levine. Kanye is good friends with Adam Levine, and have worked together on other songs such as "This Love (Remix)" produced by Kanye himself.

Here is a short clip of the performance (sorry for the bad quality):

This weeks Unknown Artist of the Week is American rapper Consequence. Consequence was brought up, raised and started his career in Queens, New York. He has put out his first album this past year entitled, "Don't Quit Your Day Job." His 2007 release, on March 6th, wasas a pretty good debut album in my opinion. He has produced ton of music with other artists in the Hip-Hop/Rap industry, some of whom you probably know: Kanye West, A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, and DJ Kahled. His latest album was produced by GOOD Music, and sold 7,490 units in week one. Here is the review that I am making for his March 6th release, "Don't Quit Your Day Job."

On March 6, 2007, Consequence came out with his first solo album entitled, "Don't Quit Your Day Job!" It is a pretty solid album and the tunes are solid. If I had to compare him to a more "well known" rapper, it would be like a Talib Kweli or Kanye West. The way his lyrics flow, and the way his beats come out of your speakers, you can swear that you are listening to one of them! Very solid album, even though it came out this year and has been out since March 6th, i highly suggest you go out and buy this album! If you don't feel like going out and buying the album because you have no idea what he is singing and what he sounds like, then go on his myspace and listen to some of his tunes.

The Track Listing:
"Job Song" (8.3 out of 10)
"Don't Forget Em" (8.6 out of 10)
"Uptown" (8.2 out of 10)
"The Good, The Bad, The Ugly (Feat. Kanye West)" (9.1 out of 10)
"Night Night" (8.4 out of 10)
"Pretty Little Sexy Mama" (8.7 out of 10)
"On Break (Skit)" (N/A out of N/A)
"Feel This Way (Feat. John Legend) (8.9 out of 10)
"Callin' Me" (8.95 out of 10)
"Disperse (Feat. Gangsta L. Crisis & Really Doe)" (8.8 out of 10)
"Yo Dex (Skit)" (N/A out of N/A)
"Uncle Rahiem" (8.3 out of 10)
"Grammy Family (Feat. DJ Kahled, Kanye West & John Legend) (9.6 out of 10)
"Good News, Bad News (Skit)" (N/A out of N/A)
"Who Knew My Luck Would Change" (8.9 out of 10)

As you are all well aware, Chris Brown has a new album debuting November 6, 2007. It was supposed to be released earlier, but the date changed as the original release date approached. While there is really no new news on the album, besides the fact that fans are getting the chance to vote on which album art they want to see for his new album, I thought it would be neat if I sort of gave you an update on the singles that have been released thus far. So here they are, without further a-do, the singles off of Chris Brown's upcoming album, "Exclusive."

"Kiss Kiss (Feat. T-Pain)" (9.6 out of 10)
"Wall To Wall" (8.7 out of 10)
"Throwed" (8.4 out of 10)

There have been a few remixes put out there of the new singles, and there have been some snippets of two other songs that have been circulating the web. I have not listened to the snippets, but if you do, let me know how they are and if this album is going to be on of the better albums of 2007. I will keep updating this blog when I get more info. on Chris Brown and his upcoming album.

Hakeem Seriki, otherwise known as Chamillionaire, released his second album this year, and it was much better than his first release in my opinion. The second album put out by Chamillionaire is entitled, "Ultimate Victory," and it was really the first album that has been put out without any crude terms. No profanity, no sexual content, and no violent stories. Ultimate Victory is one of the first albums to accomplish such a feat in the Hip-Hop music industry. So, you must be dying to figure out why the heck there are no profane words or sexual refrences in his newest release? Well, the answer Chamillionaire gave was actually an interesting one, because not many MC's feel the same way about his answer. He claimed that he had made the decision after his first album, when he heard fans saying some of his lyrics using crude and profane words. He also did not like how his white fans who were singing his lyrics were dropping the N-Bomb. His decision was a very good one, and it has maybe allowed outher hip-hop artists to follow in his steps? His album was #8 on the U.S. Billboard Chart, and he sold over 79,000 albums in the first week. Rolling Stones called this album the first personally based album since Eminem had put out an album.

The Track Listing:
"The Morning News" (9.1 out of 10)
"Hip Hop Police (Feat. Slick Rick)" (9.2 out of 10)
"Standing Ovation" (9 out of 10)
"Won't Let You Down (K-Ci)" (8.7 out of 10)
"Industry Groupie" (9.4 out of 10)
"Pimp Mode (Feat. Bun B)" (8.8 out of 10)
"Rock Star (Feat. Lil' Wayne)" (8.9 out of 10)
"Skit (Feat. Spanky Hayes)" (N/A out of N/A)
"The Bill Collecta (Feat. Krazie Bone)" (8.9 out of 10)
"The Ultimate Vacation" (8.7 out of 10)
"Come Back To The Streets" (8.2 out of 10)
"I Think I Love You" (8 out of 10)
"The Evening News" (8.7 out of 10)
"Welcome To The South (Feat. Pimp C)" (8.2 out of 10)
"You Must Be Crazy (Feat. Lil' Ken)" (8.1 out of 10)
"We Breakin' Up" (8 out of 10)
"Stuck In The Ghetto (Stuck) (Feat. Tony Henry)" (8.8 out of 10)
"Rocky Road (Feat. Devin The Dude)" (8.5 out of 10)
"The Ultimate Victory" (8.7 out of 10)
"Still Countin' My Cash (iTunes Bonus)" (9.1 out of 10)
"Keepin' It On The Hush (Best Buy Bonus Track) (Lloyd)" (9.2 out of 10)

Looking back on last month's intense music showdown between 50 Cent and Kanye West, we all know that Kanye came out on top. Originally, 50 had agreed that if Kanye's Graduation album had sold more copies then him, he would retire from producing solo albums. He most likely released the statement just his image at first, and then realized that he should probably pull the comment. Graduation sold approximately 957,000 copies in the US during its first week of release, and as of October 4, 2007, it has sold approximately 1,714,000 copies worldwide. Curtis on the other hand sold 691,000 copies in the US during its first week of release, and as of September 28, 2007, it has sold approximately 1,176,000 copies worldwide. Despite the difference in sales between the 2 albums, Curtis was debuted on the Irish and Swiss album charts at number one, and has the highest debut sales week for an East Coast Hip-Hop album since Jay-Z's Kingdom Come selling 680,000 copies in late 2006.

While the sales battle was clearly resolved, 50 and other rappers have a conspiracy theory about the results. Prior to the release of the albums Chamillionaire stated in an interview with radio station Wild949, "What I think is that whichever company buys the most records is gonna be the winner. I think they're both gonna cheat." Clearly this was not a biased opinion, but in 50's case he's probably just mad at the results. Anyway the point of the matter is that there doesn't have to be a conspiracy behind something that is either unfavorable or unexplainable; sometimes it is just a good ole' fashioned sales fight. Personally I don't believe that there was anything unfair to this hyped up head-to-head battle, as I think Kanye's album to be the superior. Sure there were street teams hired by the respective record labels, and certain promotional sales, but in the end it comes down to the numbers. Accept defeat and don't cry about it.

In preparation for Chris Brown's upcoming album, "Exclusive," I have decided to make a review of his first album which was a hit in 2004. If you didn't get this young kid's album, then you are missing out on some good R&B/Hip-Hop. At a young age of 18 (at the time of his debut album release), he surprised many, and took the music scene by a storm. His voice is great, the lyrics were fantastic, and the musics was just fantabulous! (if thats even a word). So, if you are into R&B/Hip-Hop, check out Chris Browns 2004 self titled album and get excited for his upcoming 2007 album release, "Exclusive."

The Track Listing:
"Intro (See The Light)" (Sick Intro...No Rating)
"Run It! (Juelz Santana)" (9.3 out of 10)
"Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" (9.2 out of 10)
"Young Love" (8.8 out of 10)
"Gimme That" (9.2 out of 10)
"Ya Man Ain't Me" (8.2 out of 10)
"Winner" (8.1 out of 10)
"Ain't No Way (You Won't Love Me)" (7.9 out of 10)
"Whats My Name (Feat. Noa)" (8.3 out of 10)
"Is This Love?" (8.5 out of 10)
"Poppin" (8.7 out of 10)
