Wale brings it hard again on his most recent mixtape, Back to the Feature which features him working with the studio genius 9th Wonder.  The mixtape before this one, Mixtape About Nothing, really turned me onto Wale and really got me following him, and his most recent release has kept me up with that same interest level that the Mixtape About Nothing had.  Wale brought it hard not only with his lyrical flow, but with the beats, and all the sick nasty featured musicians.  I don't think I have ever seen so many features on a mixtape before, especially for someone who is relatively new to the music game!  We covered one of the singles a while back by Wale on his track, "Chillin'," which featured the ever-so-popular Lady Gaga (P.S. Also check out DJ Benzi's remix of the track "Chillin'," it has some pretty dope video work done on it, and I highly suggest it, CLICK HERE to check it out!).  I knew that when that song leaked, that this tape was going to be mad dope and something special.

One thing that is great about Wale is that he doesn't just focus on one sort of Hip-Hop, he has various ways of sending his message and conveying his music to the masses.  There was a ton of hype to this mixtape, and surprisingly, the tape did not let down whatsoever.  Another thing I loved about this tape was that it featured some musicians that are already all-stars in the music industry, and at the same time, it featured musicians who may not be huge right now, but definitely have the potential to become something big one day (i.e. Daniel Merriweather, Curren$y, etc...).  The tape as a whole really brought out the best in Wale, and his features really went along with the tracks they were on.  Each beat really fit with the musician he chose to work with on the track, which is something that is generally ignored by many musicians out there!  Anyway, peep the rest of the review below, and be sure to check out the tape, if you don't you'll be missing out!

D.C. Chillin'... That's what's up folks.  With songs like that, it is hard for me to believe that Wale won't make it big in the music industry!  I mean let's take a look at the features on this mixtape, shall we?  You got Joe Budden, Curren$y, Young Chris, Freeway & Beanie Sigel, Talib Kweli, Joell Ortiz, Big Sean, Ken Starr, Mike Posner, Daniel Merriweather, Memphis Bleek, Jean Grae, Royce Da 5'9, Dre (from Cool & Dre), K'Naan, and so many more!!!  The crazy part about this is that you got musicians in that list who are all from different backgrounds of Hip-Hop and Rap.  I mean Big Sean is a totally different musician then Talib Kweli, and yet Wale finds a way for both sounds to converge on his mixtape!  It's kind of an impressive thing, and I think Wale should get some serious credit for doing that.  Well, I am running out of things to say on this mixtape, it has been in serious rotation on my iTunes/iPod since I downloaded it last night, and I think you all should download it, otherwise you will be missing out on something truly special!  I give this mixtape an A, and I am sure that I won't be the only one giving it that score!  Peep the track listing below, the album artwork above, and the download links below!

Joe Budden was in the studio today, had a live feed going, and here is what went down in his studio. A whole lot of talking and some solid music.  I love Budden because of his ever lasting love for his fans.  Musicians should take note from Budden, show your fans some love, do this sort of stuff, be a part of their lives and let them be a part of yours.  Then you won't have as many "haters," because you will be the, "real you."  Budden gets it, why don't you?

Well I am first going to start off this sad post with the actual quote off the blog site in with I am getting my information from. If you are a KiD CuDi fan, then I advise you to give the whole post a read, and then read my thoughts on it, seeing as they correspond directly to the post he has put up on the blog.
"AFTER THE RELEASE OF MY FIRST LP THIS SUMMER, IAM NOT MAKING ANY MORE SOLO ALBUMS. IAM FALLIN BACK ON BEING A ARTIST. THE DRAMA THAT COMES WITH IT IS MORE OVERWHELMING THAN THE SHIT I WAS DEALING WIT WHEN I WAS PISS POOR BROKE. MY FRIENDS GET MAD AT ME, SAY IVE CHANGED, ONE OF THE ONLY HOMIES I GOT IN THIS GAME, WALE, IS WORRIED ABOUT ME CUZ OF SHIT HE HEARS. LIKE WTF? WHO CAN SAY IM BEIN HOLLYWOOD? IM NOT AROUND ANYONE BUT PLAIN PAT AND EMILE. WHO CAN SAY THAT SHIT? MUTHAFUCKAS TALKIN SHIT HERE AND THERE, SPREADIN RUMORS, MAKIN JOKES, TRYNA JUDGE ME, AND FOR WHAT? DOES MY MUSIC POKE FUN AT OTHERS? DO I TALK SHIT ABOUT PEOPLE N MY MUSIC? I ALREADY WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL ONCE, AND GOT EXPELLED CUZ IT WASNT FOR ME. IMA DROP OUT THIS SHIT BEFORE NIGGAZ TRY AND CRUCIFY ME.

I DONT LOOK AT IT AS QUITTING, FOR I HAVE ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED MY GOAL. I HAVE A SOLID FANBASE WHO TRUELY APPRECIATES ME AND MY MESSAGES THRU SONG, I GOT MULTIPLE BIG RECORDS, I HAVE RECIEVED WORLDWIDE CRITICAL ACCLAIM FROM THE BIGGEST TASTEMAKERS IN THE GAME, 3 FAN MADE BEST OF MIXTAPES WITHOUT EVEN RELEASING MORE THAN ONE MIXTAPE AND NOT EVEN RELEASING A ALBUM, I CAN PAY MY MOMS MORTGAGE AND HELP MY SISTER WITH MY NIECE AND HOLD MY BROTHERS DOWN WITH WUTEVER THEY NEED. THATS WUT I GOT IN THIS GAME FOR, TO ACCOMPLISH ALL THESE GOALS AND I HAVE. NO REGRETS

IM SORRY TO THE FANS, IM SO SORRY YALL. I KNO U GUYS WILL ALL HATE ME, BUT REMEMBER, IM JUS A REGULAR DUDE WHO WAS GIVEN A AMAZING GIFT, AND NOW WITH THAT AMAZING GIFT CAME MORE UNCALLED FOR PROBLEMS THAN THE AVERAGE HUMAN BEING SHOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH.

I WILL STILL DO THE COLLAB ALBUM WITH CHIP, AND THAT WILL BE MY LAST STUDIO RECORDING.

IAM GOING TO FOCUS ALL MY ATTENTION ON THE HBO SHOW WHICH WE START SHOOTING IN AUGUST AND MY ACTING CAREER IN GENERAL…ILL CONTINUE TO DO SHOWS FOR THE REAL KID CUDI FANS, AND IM PLANNING A BIG CONCERT THIS SUMMER, JUS ME, AND I WILL PERFORM MY ENTIRE MIXTAPE FROM BEGINNING TO END AND NEW SONGS FROM MY ALBUM. ILL KEEP U GUYS UPDATED ON THAT

AGAIN, IAM SORRY, BUT ITS THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP ME FROM GOING COMPLETELY INSANE. IM TOO REAL FOR THIS HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL SHIT. BAK TO THE MOON I GO." - KiD CuDi Online (News Blog)
So I gave the "letter" (if you can call it that) a good look over and I sufficiently think that CuDi may legitimately be calling it a career. After one successful mixtape, and what will be an unreal album, the young musician stated that he is planning on ending his career after his first release that is due out this summer. Now here are a few things, and I never really go out of my way to say that someone is not being truthful, but I just looked at the calender, and realized that in a few weeks it will be April. I have never really been a fan of April Fools Day (seeing as nothing special really happens then), but this could possibly be a prank on his fan base and the music industry, seeing as how he has gotten so much publicity and what not! I mean it would appear as though this blog post of his is not just an April Fools Day joke, seeing as he sounds pretty serious in it. I guess we will not have much music coming out of this young talent after the 09' year. He states that he plans on doing a show on HBO and that he will have only two albums dropping by the end of his career (1 Solo LP + 1 Duo LP With Chip Tha Ripper). I think that both those albums will be straight fire, I have given some of the CuDi/Ripper material a listen (the one off Chip's mixtape and the one track of CuDi's), and it seems like it is going to be a very hot album. It's a shame to say goodbye to someone who just embraced the music industry with such grace and talent, but this is the way it is going to have to be, and we here at TGLR wish CuDi the best in his future endeavors and hope the HBO show is straight fire!

We would love to do an interview with ya CuDi, hopefully before you put down the mic! So if you read this post, which I really really really doubt, then hit us up with an e-mail, we are huge fans of yours and would love to sit down and ask you some questions. We have been following you for a while and we will continue to follow you even after you hang it all up, so drop us a line! E-Mail: TGLR007@gmail.com

I have kept my word, and really haven't covered the whole CB/RiRi situation, but I am going to for right now. I guess it is something that has just been on my mind for a while, and it is something that I want to just give my opinion on, and sort of state the facts (as best I can). If you haven't seen the picture that the cops took of RiRi, then it will be hard for you to relate to the post and to really get a graphic image of the pain and abuse that she endured from the Chris Breezy. I am never one to judge, but I have to say that a person should never beat another person up (whether it is a guy beating up another guy, a guy beating up a girl, or a girl beating up another girl, or even a girl beating up a guy).

CB definitely crossed the line... If you haven't seen the pictures of RiRi (the aftermath of the event), then you can't really take a side. Don't expect to find the picture on here, I don't want anything to do with the pricey leaked photo that now will not be used in court due to the evidence being compromised. But I, like many other people around the world saw the picture of Rihanna and just really couldn't believe that CB had done this to her. I mean the two were as close as two people could get, almost seemed like a match made in heaven. I guess things change, sometimes for better, and other times for worse. I definitely don't agree with what CB did, and this goes all the way back to a post that ICECrush did a while back. Why do musicians and other pop/famous stars around the world do such horrible and stupid things? It just doesn't make sense! Why even put your only line of work in jeopardy!? It is not like any of these musicians, sports stars, or performers have back up jobs, or anything like that. I can understand a person getting angry, but I watched a clip from CNN, and it states that CB threatened to "kill" Rihanna due to her pretending to tell a friend to call the cops.

I am... NO, I WAS a huge Chris Breezy fan, but now I am truly deterred from his music and his musical career. It is not that he just beat a woman, or that he is an abusive boyfriend. Well, I mean it is that... but it is not only just that stuff, it is also his being a complete phony. He sings about love, about woman, and all that "lovey dovey" crap. Yet he is the one dishing out the abusive blows to his girlfriend. To me, that is wrong on so many levels. What Chris Brown did was just not right, he is someone who has definitely lost a lot of respect from many of the people around him. We love the young, fresh, singer/songwriter that Chris Brown used to be, not the madman he's become.

Which brings me to my next point... Will Chris Brown be able to salvage a musical career? The answer to this question is sadly a YES. No matter how bad of a person you are, people still go out and support you. There is still a demand for R&B music, and whether or not CB is a jerk and an abusive boyfriend, he will still have tons of fans, and there will still be a high demand for him to put out music.

The same thing happens to professional sports players. When players such as Santonio Holmes get indicted on drug charges, people eventually forget; his football skills shroud his personality. Not all people that we look up to are good people. T.I. was indicted on firearms charges, but he continues to be the benevolent person we know and love. He got in trouble, and now he's serving his sentence, and giving back to the community. He is an inspiration to all of us. If T.I. were Jewish, he'd be a mensch.

So, should we support CB?... ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! The actions he took against Rihanna were not only inappropriate, but they send an awful message to youngsters and fans. People just don't realize the damage CB has done.

I though they had already settled everything, but it would appear that the two rappers may have some more fight left in them.  It was reported that the two Rap musicians had stopped this so called, "beef" and that everything was fine between the two musicians.  Recently, Saigon put out a video stating that Joe Budden had begged for them to stop beefing.  I don't believe for one second that Budden was "begging" Saigon to stop the beef, the guy is fearless.  Joe Budden is a tough dude, and heck, if anything, I would have saw it the other way around, Saigon probably begged Budd to stop ethering the crap out of him.  Anyway, lets see where this one goes, we've been covering a lot of beef the past couple of days, so we'll see what happens.  Also, Budden has made claims that Saig begged him to stop... I will post up the two videos, I am going to side with Budden on this one, I don't see Budd begging anyone to stop beefing with him.

Budden In An Interview With Just Blaze:
One minute we hear there’s a phone call and the next minute Saigon says it didn’t happen. Did a phone call happen? The phone call happened. The phone call happened. In my story the phone call happened. I’m not responsible for what he goes around saying but it’s common sense. If me and dude are engaged in a fucking lyrical battle here and all of a sudden I just stop out of the clear blue sky, there’s really no other reason for it besides there was a phone call that took place.

What did you guys talk about? That part I’m not going to share. But we had a pretty in-depth conversation. And it was a good one. It was a good conversation. It didn’t start out well but we had a good conversation. He begged me to stop. He begged me to leave him alone.
