Album Ranking: A

808's & Heartbreak dropped today, and it is something extremely new and very interesting coming out by the Ye' man.  The track listing consists of 12 tracks all of Yeezy singing.  SINGING!?  Yes, that's right!  Singing...  So I have just been looking around the web, and I have noticed how many fans either love the album or hate it.  I am one of those Kanye fans that likes what he has done with the new album.  I listened to the rough cuts of most of the songs, and the final releases of those tracks is such a vast upgrade it is not even funny. RoboCop was one of the worst songs I had ever heard, but the Herbie Hancock Jr. added his thing on the track, and it really made the track what it is!  The album features something new to Hip-Hop star's already illustrious musical career.  He is one of those guys who likes to venture out, and do something different.  He took T-Pain's idea with using the Auto-Tune, and really changed the vibe of the whole album.  He also used the drum set kit which really gave the impression of the whole album being like a heart beat.

The album features a totally new side to Kanye.  It is a more emotional album, one that really gives insight to the way Kanye has been feeling as of late.  I don't know if the change in music was due to his mothers passing away, or if it was something that he just decided to do, but whatever it was, he did it with all his heart.  The album features a great supporting cast, as Young Jeezy, Kid Cudi, and Lil' Wayne appear on three out of the twelve solid tracks on the album.  The tracks on here are pretty solid, and while you will get your general haters out there, Kanye did throw out a solid album.  It may not be of him rapping, but it is still a very solid album.  For all you haters out there, go sit in a corener and wait for his hopeful release in 2009.  If you think about it, in the recent events in Kanye's life, it is reasonable for the him to make an album like 808's.  It features him dealing with a lot of stuff... His recent break-up with his engaged girlfriend, his mothers death, and his constant scrutiny over 808's really led to his hardcore Pop genre idea.

The album was straight fire folks, and you should all go pick it up and support Kanye.  He is not a poser, and he is someone who got out there, and tried to do something different.  If ya'll want to scrutinize and say that this is not Kanye's best, than you need to go get a reality check and realize that not everyone out there can put out album after album and make it the best thing ever.  In my opinion, 808's may not be his best work, but it was for sure a solid album.  You should all go out and cop it for yourselves and let us know what you think about it.  I liked it, but I know there are many out there who did not like it.  If so, there are rumors about there being an album in June or some time in 2009.

So be sure to check back here for more information on that!  MAKE SURE TO GO OUT AND COP THE 808'S ALBUM!!!

i didnt like it as much as i liked welcome to heartbreak and pinocchio story, i felt like if he had added a bit more too it, it would have been a bit better and 8.8 is awfully close to a 9... i didnt criticize it...

and bad news is the best song on the album...? since when?

I sorta like Nightmares, the thing is that it's just way too mellow. Also bad news is just freakin' annoying with that hazy effect.
I used to hate RoboCop, but now I absolutely love it. But I mean yeah Welcome To Heartbreak is INCREDIBLE.

SoSickWitItYo...nice review, don't listen to those hatas

Singing huh? He is actually singing in this album? Maybe the first two guys thought that Kanye needs more practice or better take singing lessons first before actually singing. But the album is not that bad, just his attitude.
