Trey just loves his drugggz.

As you hopefully know, last weekend marked the beginning of Phish's reunion tour. They played gigs at Hampton Coliseum, VA (aka "The Mothership") on March 6-8, and apparently rocked the house. Unfortunately, Phish weren't the only ones that were rockin' the house.

If you are a Phish Phan, then you of course know that Phish Phan = Druggie. While Hampton Coliseum is known as "The Mothership", this time, "The Mothership" was anything but a safe haven for tripped out phans. According to the Washington Post:
Police said Monday they confiscated about $1.2 million in illegal drugs and more than $68,000 in cash from concertgoers. Authorities also arrested 194 Phish fans during the three-night celebration of the band's return to the stage after a nearly five-year absence.
While I would be enraged if I were arrested on drug charges at the concert, the cops gotta do what they gotta do. It's not like 1 or 2 people were smoking weed at a concert, this was hardcore. It just goes to show you that music and the lifestyle just don't mix with the man. And maybe the phans were going to the concert to get away from the man. Sorry guys, he's always watching.

Despite the numerous drug busts however, the shows were apparently legendary, and it's a shame that we had to miss this event. For those of you who missed it, there is always hope. Visit LivePhish.com and DOWNLOAD the mp3s for free!!!

Reminds me of this story this dude from CO once told me. Said they had like "smoke-in's" on 4-20 that were organized. Cops allowed it for like 5 straight years. Then one year without warning they take all these pictures as well as bust people......lame.

Balls. Yeah I don't know I mean a Phish concert is such an easy target, but I think that it's sort of unfair that they're busting all these fans. Yeah drugs are illegal, but it's a tradition!
