Album Ranking: A
SHH... Quiet down... Dude, shut your trap, the film has started. Hey man, sit your butt down, I can't see the screen. The Preview ends and now it's time to start the show... Theater of the Mind. Dang Luda, he has done it again! He has successfully put out enough albums to fill up your CD player in your car, and to tell you the truth, each and every release from him thus far has been rather great. Theater of the Mind is nothing short of spectacular. The album features some of the greats from the music industry, and while it took him about a year to record, cut, and finish it, it was for sure worth the wait. He just killed this album, and it will go down as one of his top albums, for sure! Ludacris really went abstract with this album project, doing something that really hasn't been done before.
"Intro" (N/A out of N/A)He has stated that the album is a more of a movie style concept. He mentioned that each track on the album would be something that you would hear in the movie theaters. It is really interesting, because his idea is really true. I could picture most of these songs ending up in movies. Another great thing is that we finally get to hear some more music from Luda. It has sure been awhile, and he definitely gave it his all on this album. It is a solid, all-around album that will for sure be up there on the charts. The album may not be as career changing or different as Kanye's 808's, but it is for sure a different style. I like what he brought to the table on this album, and he definitely set the standards high for ATL rappers, and for his future releases. This album is for sure going to be on the Top 10 of 2008.
