I know that this song is a bit old by now, but I have just been digging it way too hard. The song is HOT and the video is even HOTTER!!! For that reason I thought it would be a great idea to give it up to Keri Hilson, Kanye, and Ne-Yo, and to present you with "Knock You Down"!!!
Yo Brotha A to Z Yo Whattup B Yo What Time Is It? Haha ITS LAUNDRY DAY!!!
I think we've all been overdue for a Single of The Week, so I thought I'd bring you a classic. Well, maybe it's not a classic, because I didn't hear it until a few weeks ago, but I'm using classic as a descriptor in relation to time, not the classic definition of classic meaning...well a classic. Anyway, this week's Single of The Week happens to be "Geek in the Pink" by Jason Mraz. We've all seen Jason Mraz climb up the music fame ladder with his latest album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things., and I thought it would be a good idea to climb back down and get at his roots.
I absolutely love this song because it starts out funny, hits us with a funky beat, and then hits us with some more rap/singing finesse. The best part of this song though has to be the sexy bridge. While the official music video is hot, some fans made an even hotter one. Here we go, "Geek in the Pink".
It's been a while since I've posted up some quality music, I've been focusing on SEO, keywording, transfering to our new domain, and DoFollow commenting. In an attempt to bring the good stuff back into your life, I'm hittin' you with the new The All-American Rejects song, "Gives You Hell". When I was cruisin' down the highway in my Dad's new Acura MDX, I heard the song on XM Satellite Radio. Being the intellectual idiot that I am, for some reason I forgot to look at what the song was called under the audio menu, and continued to rock out to the sexy song pumpin' up the jams, pushing the pedal to the metal.
The All-American Rejects have been known for their catchy tunes and stellar lyrics including "Dirty Little Secret". This my friends, is one of those songs. Although I haven't had time to completely dissect the words of the song, I do know that the track is straight fire, and the music video is funny. If I had to take a guess, I'd have to say this guy's girlfriend cheated on him, and now she wants him back. He's not having any of that and is throwing it back in her face.
EDIT: This isn't about his girlfriend, it's a multi-faceted BROMANCE!!!
The best part of the song has to be:
And truth be told I miss you And truth be told I'm lying
which segues back into the rockin' chorus:
When you see my face Hope it gives you hell Hope it gives you hell When you walk my way Hope it gives you hell Hope it gives you hell
I love his sarcasm, it's just so fitting!
Overall, I rate this song anA+ for effort, attitude, rhymes, retro-activity, and rock. Good job All-American Rejects, you've done it again.

Well this past weeks Single of the Week was "Low" by Flo Rida (Feat. T-Pain). Ever since its release, the general reception of the song has been rather great. The hot single will be on Flo Rida's up and coming March 18th release (intended for March 2008) entitled, Mail on Sunday. From listening to the two singles that are out, this album looks to be one of the better ones of 2008! Let's hope Flo Rida's debut album does not turn out to be like Soulja Boys.
So here is what we are going to start to do...On the side bar of the blog, we will set up a spot to vote for single of the week...so for this week, we will hold voting all week long. For which ever song wins, we will not only review it and give you some extra stuff for/about the single, but the winning single also goes on to the next week. We are going to try and bring back our Music 101 section. It will feature many of the same old stuff, including where to find album/movie artwork, sheet music, and other great stuff that will help supply your music hunger. Our compilation of sites may take awhile to re-create, but do not fret, we will have it up as soon as possible! If you know of anything that should go here, let us know by dropping us an e-mail. Thanks, and we hope you make good use of this section!
