Today is a big day for TGLR and the blogging community. TGLR is presenting a new, one of a kind blog called My Blog Is Average.

My Blog is Average is your blog. It's yours. Seriously. We want to know what you want, and we want everyone else in the blogosphere to know it too. We cover tech, cars, music, kicks, YouTube, the News, and anything else that catches your eye. Guest posts are highly encouraged and wanted because we really want to hear what you crave. MBIA is inspired by, produced by, and fueled by the masses. If You Like It, We Like It.

Get ready for a new wave of blogging featuring you, the fan and your articles. Your voice matters, your opinions matter, your life matters. We'll post up cool stuff, and you'll give us ideas or write for us too. Get ready for nothing you've ever seen before.

LIVE NOW!!!

I hate to disappoint all the loyal readers of the site, but I will be taking about a three week absence from the site, which will then follow a one week period in which I will have an abundant amount of time to do updates, reviews, interviews, and what not. The weird thing is that after that week, I become busy again, and am going to be on a hiatus (for the second time). By the time I get back, school will be back in session and things will be busy! So don't hold out for too many posts, seeing as there will be a lot of time (about three months total) in which I will be completely out of the country, and about a week or so where I will be in town. Anyway, sign up for the contest, it ends tomorrow, and be sure to keep checking the site for more updates and reviews. ICECrush & TheSideNote got the site on lockdown while I am gone, and I am sure they will be taking care of business in my absence! I will sadly be missing the seventh game of the Wings series, and will probably miss the rest of the playoffs for both Basketball & Hockey (which sucks, but oh well!). Hit us up with any requests, interview opportunities, and questions, we are always here to help and make music fun!

To All The College, High School, & Other School Students Out There... Good Luck With The Rest Of The School Year, And Be Sure To Check Back Here To Procrastinate When You Start Studying For Finals & What Not!!!

So we figured we would make some more updates and make ourselves more available to our readers!!! Seeing as we are growing more and more by the day, we have created an AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) account, which will allow you all to get in touch with us on a real-time basis!  This also makes for some small talk, some idea sharing, and some talk time with the readers on the blog!  Below, we will list all of our contact information, and feel free to either drop a comment on here leaving your contact info, or just adding us and messaging us!!! (If you do message us, then let us know who you are, and if you are from a blog, let us know which one!!!) Thanks for everything, and we hope that these new installments will better the blog experience for everyone out there!

Due to the fact that we are awesome fresh young bloggers, our boy John Sullivan @ PotPolitics has asked us to write a guest post for his blog showcasing Tha Good Life Reviews.

In an attempt to not just totally spam his site, we are taking the time to compile a comprehensive history of the blog along with relevant biographical information and of course, Money Page Rank Link Juice From Concentrate.

For those of you who don't know us, we are ICECrush and SoSickWitItYo, or more colloquially Tyler and Alex, respectively. For years we have been attending Camp Ramah in Canada over our summers playing sports, meeting friends, and most of all, learning to appreciate music. Throughout our time as campers we learned to love The Allman Brothers, Phish, Grateful Dead, Dispatch, Tally Hall, Ben Folds, The Who, The Beatles, The Band, Jeremy Pappas, Umphrey's McGee, John Mayer, Akon, *NSYNC, etc. The list just goes on and on. We learned to love classic rock, alternative rock, progressive rock, jam bands, hip-hop, rap, country (only the Dixie chicks), techno, trance, who knows; we love the works.

We have learned though not only to listen to music, but to appreciate it. We were able to just chill out, listening to music with our friends, and to really live it. Live the life. Live the dream. Music is our life.

On October 3rd, 2007 (Yes our 1.5 year birthday is coming up!), our dreams became a reality when we first started Tha Good Life Reviews back on the stupidest domain ever: sickisity.blogspot.com. Ask SoSickWitItYo about that name. He doesn't even understand what it means himself, and he made it up! We were a little weary of starting a music blog because we just didn't know if we could do it, or if people would like it. I don't think we understood what it really meant to run a website.

Our first, and largest decision that we had to make was the focus of our blog. Were we going to be pirates, and offer downloads to the world, or were we going to be ethical fresh young bloggers and give the world music news, reviews, and all out awesomeness. As you can hopefully tell by our website, we chose the latter and have been relatively successful ever since, only posting up downloads that were legal, and leaving the illegal business to the other hot bloggers out there.

As we began to get more into blogging, we realized that we were quite good at what we did. We found fresh, eye-popping, aesthetic layouts, fun and useful widgets, interesting articles, great pictures, and most of all, we found our souls. Our blog is a showcase of our true passions, not a money-maker. You can't have a financially successful blog without loving to blog; that's just not how it works. For the time being we love sharing our knowledge with the world, and love seeing our blog grow.

We believe that the key to a successful blog is its aesthetic feel, and that's why we have devoted much time to perfecting the layout and using numerous pictures and videos. YES, we know that if your computer is a piece of crap it takes 22 hours to load the page, but trust me, the wait is worth it. My favorite layout so far is the layout that we are using right now (V4 - Arthemia Template). When I load up the homepage whether it's at school, a friend's house, or at home, I am proud to say this is my site. It just looks so professional, so fun, and so provoking, that many people don't understand that my friend and I run it. Sometimes I don't even believe it!

And as much as we love the blog, we are trying to push it out to other people so that they can enjoy it as much as we can. The most depressing thing so far has been the lack of comments. As hard as we try to get people to comment on our posts, we seem to always come up short. We have managed to make some friends with PotPolitics and The Mixtape Monster, and it feels so good to see a comment waiting for us. Other than that, it's just plain sad. In an attempt to gain more comments and to proliferate our blog even further we have started to reach out to the blogosphere, post up our links on DoFollow Blogs, comment on other people's blogs, feature other bloggers, have other bloggers feature us. We have really started to kick our blog into overdrive, and we think it's paying off.

So far we have achieved many goals. We have our own new domain, a few blog friends, PR3 (on our old domain), our own Shirts (YEAH SWAG!), a sweet layout, a love for music, great content, TWITTER, MySpace, Feedburner, Gmail, 58 Kanye posts, a sexy homemade bape groupies background by ICECrush, hot reviews, and much, much, much more.

In the future we are hoping to reach many goals. Our main goals are to increase daily visitors to at least 250+ a day, finally break the 100 readers on our Feedburner feed, obtain a responsive fan base, move our PR up (we did just start a new domain), get some money page rank link juice from concentrate, score another big interview (We already scored We The Kings), get enough visitors to start advertising, and continue to have fun.

As you can see, our goals are pretty modest, and whatever comes our way we will happily welcome.

We just wanted to thank PotPolitics again for giving us so many useful tips, and for letting us guest post on his blog, John, you're the man. We love you.

Today marks the first day that we have had 20+ visitors online at once... We are having a record breaking day in general, and I am pretty sure that this is all coming from the V3 changes, but even if that's the case, I am looking forward to our blog progressing and becoming bigger and even better!  25 People Online at once today, and an average of about 7 people on at a time thus far today.  Invite your friends to come visit our blog and spread the word, the bigger we get, the better we are!

That's All For Now, TGLR OUT

PS: Check Us Out At YouTube by Clicking On This!

So you thought we were all talk... YOU KIDDING ME... Welcome to V3 folks.  We changed the format of the blog, got rid of some pointless widgets, and the look is much more neat in our opinions.  So check it out, take a look around, and let us know what you think about it!!! We are looking forward to way more blogging coming up in the near future, so check back here later!

TGLR OUT!!!

Due to the fact that we like to grow our blog both in posts and technologically advanced features, we have just added a little button at the bottom of all our posts in order for you to socially bookmark posts that you think should be shared with the entire community. If you guys are members of Digg, Del.icio.us, Technorati, Stumbleupon, Facebook, or other social networking sites, please share our posts with the whole online community. All of your support is greatly appreciated, and with a better audience comes better posts. Thanks for your help.

-TGLR

So we love to make this blog more advanced each and every time we come to it.  So we have just added a new feature to it, a TGLR Extra Edition site.  It is not a blog, rather it is more of a page in which we have a bunch of blog information on.  We also are going to add some other stuff to it, we just made it, so it is still in its rough stages, and not really perfected as of yet.  We are thinking about doing a V3, still no design ideas or formatting procedures planned, but if you are interested in helping us out, please let us know!  That's all for now, we will be back later with more reviews and news!

Check Out The Extra's By Clicking Here!

So as you guys can tell we're a pretty technologically advanced blog, so you know we thought we'd give you some more options to fully optimize our blog. Anyway, maybe you get tired of checking the blog all the time. Sometimes we post, and sometimes we don't. And maybe Atom or RSS feeds are too "old school" for you. So we thought we'd give you something else. At the top right of the blog, you can now subscribe for email updates from Feedburner. If we post, what do you know, an email shows up in your inbox. If we don't post, then you don't get an email. It's as easy as that. So sign up for our updates, you won't regret it!

A quick update for the blog...

• We are still looking for a designer or someone to help us out with designing a V3 for the blog, we upgraded to V2 about a year ago, and it was a quick transition from V1, when we first started the blog.
• We added a new rating feature to the blog, it also will let you see similar articles from around the web.  So be sure to check that out, and leave a rating on the posts!  Please, if you are way to lazy to leave a comment, then at least give our post a rating after reading it!
• Adding a VIP section could be tough, but it is something we want to do, so if we do, it will probably be a separate blog that is attached to this one... Meaning it won't be featured on the blog page, but it will be run by us!
• We are looking forward to what will seem like a very strong November in which many hot albums will be dropping, so be sure to check that out in the near future!!!

Again, if you are too lazy to leave a comment, then just give a post a rating!  It would be greatly appreciated!

So here is the thing, myself and ICECrush have opened up a PUBLIC league on ESPN for all to come and join.  Feel free to sign up, there is a Live Draft set for tomorrow, 12:45 P.M. so be sure to join!  Also, leave a comment if you sign up!  It should be loads of fun and I hope to see you guys there!  Sign Up For The League HERE!  There are nine spots left, so be sure to sign up quickly!!!  Look for TGLR FBL 09' in public leagues if you can't join via the link provided!  Hope to see you all there!

- TGLR Team

So what can you be expecting with the blog in the coming months??? Well glad you asked (or that I asked...)! I am getting bored of this layout, and I think it is time to try and find something to spice up the blog a bit! I am also looking to add a VIP section which will feature some goodies for a certain group of members. If you want to join it, then there will be opportunities and chances to win contests to get free membership! We would leave the name of the blog the same, and hopefully the link of the blog the same. All that would be different is the layout, and of course a huge VIP section! Let us know what we should add to the blog, and also, what you want to see us do with the blog.

Well as of right now ICECrush and I are back at it. I am currently experiencing big computer problems, as in my computer has died. So I bid farewell to my seven year old computer, and am now waiting for mid-September to roll around. I am planning on getting a new macbook, they are supposedly coming out with new ones in September! So until late September, do not expect too many updates! Hope everyones summer was good!

"As life goes on I'm starting to learn more and more about responsibility, I realize everything I do is affecting the people around me, So I want to take this time out and apologize for things I have done, And things that have not occurred yet..." I'm sorry for not updating the blog, I was busy doing work alone. I'm sorry for the times that I did not report, I'm sorry for the lack of reviews I did... So you can put the blame on me.  So yeah, I am sorry for not updating the blog in the past week and a half.

Well, we have been updating, adding, and advancing our Music 101 section on the blog.  As of right now, we have added a ton more graphics to the PhotoBucket, all about album art, wallpapers, and a ton of other stuff.

On top of that, we have been colab'ing with Ain't Got No Music's forum, so be sure to check that out, he has been doing a great job, and as said before, he is currently helping us with the progression of the blog.  Just like we had once told you, we are still trying to set up interviews and we plan on getting some done soon!  We really look forward to the people who we have contacted to respond, and we will keep you all updated as soon as possible!

There really is not much else to mention, we want your inputs, and we have not really gotten many comments on the blog.  We wish that people would start talking more instead of reading the blog, and just moving on to the next site.  Please leave a comment on a post, tell us what you think, and let us know what we can do to advance the blog.  We did not make the blog to just talk to no one, we wanted to hear different views out there.  If you got an opinion on a subject we are writing on, please feel free to drop us a comment.

Thats all for now!  Keep checking back here for more info and hopefully more reviews!

So here are some things that are new on the blog, just a few reminders, and one shout out (just one, no more, and no less).  As right now, things with the blog have been running pretty smoothly.  If you have not noticed, we are trying to get back to how we used to do reviews, and even while doing so, I have tried to give you a bigger and better review post for every album I do review (from now on).  With that cleared up, here are some updates we have as of right now...

We are currently in the market for a new look to the blog, but we'll see how that goes down, if anyone has any suggestions, please let us know!  We would love to have a "user friendly" blog, and would like those who visit the blog to make suggestions.  On top of that, we would like to welcome back AKAvsMA back on to the web.  While he may not be on blogger anymore, he is now on a forum, and you can check out what he is doing by Clicking Here! (or by clicking on Ain't Got No Music in the affiliates list).

As we work to bring you more music updates and reviews, we really wished that people who viewed the blog would do more commenting, and give us more feedback.  We set up this blog for feedback purposes, to discuss music, and to do what we love doing.  It would be nice to get a comment or two once in a while.  Thanks to all of you who do check the blog on a regular basis, it is much appreciated!

Anyway, that is all for now, hope you guys are enjoying what we do, because we sure do.  Be sure to check out the new and improved: Ain't Got No Music.  And please feel free to comment and help us look for a new blog template!  Thats all for now, look here for more music updates, news, reviews, and more!

We would first off like to apologize to all the readers, the past two weeks have been very busy for both I and my compadre'.  Next week will not be busy whatsoever, so expect a lot of posts, reviews, and new music news.  This was just a small post to apologize, and to let you all know that the blog is still alive and that we have not shut down!

A couple of things:

1. Yes, we are still accepting artists who want to be promoted on the blog
2. Yes, there will be more reviews
3. No, we have been  very busy as of late, so we are sorry for the inconvenience.

So thats the scoop with what is going on with us.  Feel free to drop us a line on the chat box, or leave a comment on a review.  If there is anything you want us to review, just holler at us, and we will be sure to get on it.

Well, this will just be a quick post up, I just wanted to thank all the musicians and up and coming artists that have dropped me lines on the e-mail.  As of right now, we have picked up about 3-4 (or maybe it is 5) total artists, and we really can't wait to help support you all!  All your stuff sounds great, and we plan on getting to each artist individually when we can.  If you are a musician looking to get promoted, hit us up on the e-mail and drop us a line at, sickwitityo@gmail.com.  If you e-mail us, we will be sure to e-mail you back the minute we finish reading your message.

As for affiliates, if you have asked to be affiliated with the blog, we will try and make sure we add you to the blogroll by the end of the weekend.  If you still aren't on our Affiliates list, either leave a comment on this post, or a message in the chat box found in the sidebar!

We look forward to more reviews, still pressed for cash to buy albums to review, but don't worry about anything at all!  If you do like the blog though, we plan on setting up a PayPal account and letting you donate.  If you donate, the money will go towards us  buying new albums to review, getting new equipment to store the music we have, or even to try and set up an interview or two with musicians.  Also, the money could also go to putting out blog prizes!  Who knows!  But if you do like the blog, feel free to donate.

That is pretty much all from now.  We haven't heard back from the Blogger Team about that infringement breaking e-mail, so I am guessing it was all resolved, or they just deleted it themselves.  Thanks to the four of you who gave legal advice, even though 3 out of the 4 of you were not even lawyers.  We appreciate all the viewers who do come to the blog, and check out what we do, and we want to thank all of the artists and affiliated blogs for doing what they do!

We also would like to apologize for the lack of posts as of late, we have been swamped with busy things as of late, and have been trying to manage everything.  Don't worry, this blog will never shutdown (well I should never say, "never," but we are for sure in it for the long run!).  Keep coming back here for more music updates, news, and reviews!  Hope you all had a great April Fools Day, and be sure to check back here later for more posts!
